She used indigenous and cultural aspects in her modern creations as part of her humanitarian endeavors and as a support for our local artisans. Several of Yeung Yap’s well-known works are elaborate mixed-media creations featuring local handwoven textiles and Philippine Flora. One of her artworks titled “Piña Seda,” is currently on show at Sentro Artista gallery. It is a hand-embroidered Piña Seda (pineapple silk) and acrylic on canvas inside a frame hand-drawn by MYY & hand-carved by Jerwin Tulio from Tarlac.
