Fatima Baquiran

was born on March 8, 1971. She is the daughter of distinguished Filipino artists Angelito Antonio and Norma Belleza, as well as the sister of painter Emil Antonio and well-known modern artist Marcel Antonio. Her current success in visual arts was already implicit in the earlier bouts of her career as she finished her Fine Arts degree, majoring in Painting, at the University of Santo Tomas. She is well renowned for her floral still lifes, which she creates with a variety of impastoed hues and an Impressionist finish. Two of her works entitled “Flowers & Orchids” and “Flower Blooms” are currently on display at Sentro Artista gallery.
